A blend of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Cabernet Franc and 13% Merlot, the 2019 Contrarian Proprietary Red is cedary but ripe, filled with black cherries and cassis, with just a hint of licorice. It’s full-bodied and rich without being heavy, ending with notes of dark chocolate and loam on the long, velvety finish. Nearly approachable already, it should drink well for close to two decades. Drinking Window 2024-2040.

Complex and expressive with aromas of black currant, cherry and black perigold truffle, Contrarian is ripe to impress with its notable density, tight tannins and illustrious texture. With a long finish of black licorice, blackberries, plum and toffee, the vintage evolves temendously on the palate. This wine is captivating now and will contine to deveop in the cellar for another 15 years.
