The Caledonian Distillery was built in 1855, however has been closed for many years. Fortunately some independent bottlers were able to get their hands on these hard to come-by casks after closing. This 45 year old natural cask strength bottle is a rare opportunity to to experience the closed distillery with only 295 hand filled bottles. Anticipate lively, fresh fruit salad coupled with a damp, spiced oaked character on the nose. The palate is deliciously thick with a real creamy texture, showing a moreish caramel cream quality and honeyed cereal. The long lasting finish linger wonderfully with a citrus tang alongside zesty hard candy and syrup.
