Gran Centenario Reposado is the entry point into one of Mexico’s most decorated premium tequila ranges — 100% Blue Weber highland agave rested 10 months in French Limousin oak and enriched through the Seleccion Suave process, in which a small percentage of fully matured extra-aged Añejo is blended into the Reposado before bottling to add depth, smoothness, and complexity that standard reposado production cannot achieve.
French Limousin oak is the same wood used in premium Cognac production — tighter grain, more complex tannin structure, and a different flavor contribution than American oak. Combined with the Seleccion Suave enrichment, the Gran Centenario Reposado produces a notably more refined and complex character than most reposados at its price point. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Seleccion Suave process?
Gran Centenario’s signature production technique — before bottling each expression, the master distiller blends a small percentage of fully matured, extra-aged Añejo into the Reposado. The older spirit adds depth, smoothness, and complexity to even the Reposado — the same philosophy as the Solera system in Sherry production, where older spirit continuously enriches younger batches.
