Patrón Sherry Cask Añejo is an añejo tequila aged more than two years in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks — 100% Weber Blue Agave from Hacienda Patrón in Jalisco, produced in two independent small batches, giving it a richer, darker, dessert-like character while keeping the fresh-cooked agave Patrón is known for.
Sherry-cask finishing is increasingly sought after across aged spirits, and Patrón’s Sherry Cask Añejo brings the oxidative dried-fruit and nutty character of Oloroso sherry barrels to the agave base. At 80 proof (40% ABV) it is smooth enough for newer sippers yet layered enough for serious tequila drinkers. Crafted in two small batches for depth and balance.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Patrón Sherry Cask Añejo different from a standard añejo?
It’s aged over two years in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, which add dried fruit, roasted nuts, and caramel while keeping Patrón’s fresh-cooked agave profile — a richer, darker style than standard oak-aged añejo.
Is it for sipping or mixing?
Both work, but it’s built for sipping. The sherry-cask layers are easiest to taste neat or over one large cube; if mixing, keep it spirit-forward like an Añejo Old Fashioned.
